PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous gel hardly reducing gel strength even in co-presence of salt and satisfying flexibility and mechanical strength at the same time.SOLUTION: There is provided an aqueous gel by gelatinizing a polymer component containing a polymer A by polymerizing a monomer component containing a betaine monomer represented by the formula (I) and a polymer B by polymerizing a monomer component containing an acid monomer having an alkyl group, an aryl group, an aralkyl group, a carboxyl group or an amino group having a sulphonate group or a neutralized group thereof or a phosphate group or a neutralized group thereof.
