PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dehydrate organic waste at low running cost while reducing attachment of the waste on the inner surface of a hot blast generator.SOLUTION: A method for treating organic waste comprises: a process of generating hot blast by burning a fuel in a hot blast generator 20； a process of feeding the hot blast to the bottom of a vertical drier machine 30 through a hot blast feeding path 22: a process of feeding a treating object comprising the organic waste to the vertical drier machine 30； a process of separating the mixture of the hot blast and drying treatment body discharged from the drier machine 30 into the hot blast and the drying treatment body, respectively by a cyclone furnace 50； a process of classifying a separated drying treatment body by a vibration screen 70 as a classification part； a process of reducing the moisture content of the treating object by blending the treatment body passing through the vibration screen 70 with the treating object； and a process of feeding the treatment body remaining on the screen 70 to the hot blast generator 20 as a fuel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
