PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monoterpene glycosylation enzyme originated from sweet potato； and to provide a method for producing a monoterpene glycoside using the enzyme.SOLUTION: There are provided a monoterpene glycosylation enzyme originated from sweet potato； a method for producing a monoterpene glycoside using the enzyme； a transformant to which a gene of the monoterpene glycosylation enzyme originated from the sweet potato is transferred； a method for producing the transformant； and a method for producing the monoterpene glycoside wherein a monoterpene compound is either geraniol or linalool and UDP-sugar is UDP-glucose.【課題】サツマイモ由来モノテルペン配糖体化酵素及び同酵素を用いたモノテルペン配糖体の製造方法の提供。【解決手段】サツマイモ由来モノテルペン配糖体化酵素及び同酵素を用いたモノテルペン配糖体の製造方法、およびサツマイモ由来モノテルペン位配糖体酵素遺伝子を導入した形質転換体及び当該形質転換体の作製方法。モノテルペン化合物が、ゲラニオール又はリナロールであり、UDP-糖が、UDP-グルコースである、モノテルペン配糖体の製造方法。【選択図】なし
