The present invention relates to a method to correct a posture based on iris recognition on a mobile smart device, and to a mobile smart device therefor. The method of the present invention includes: a first step in which an iris recognizing module (13a) recognizes the iris of an eye of a user by operating a camera (12) in accordance with a request for the operation of a posture correcting application based on iris recognition on a mobile smart device through an input/output part (11) of the user a second step in which a posture analyzing module (13b) determines whether a position of the recognized iris and an angle of inclination from a horizontal surface of the input/output part (11) are within a preset parameter value range and a third step in which an alarm and screen control module (13c) outputs a warning message about a wrong posture to the input/output part (11) if the position and the angle are not within the range in accordance with the determination of the posture analyzing module (13b). Therefore, the present invention is capable of enabling screen control or push alarm through a screen when the neck of the user is being bent for more than or equal to a predetermined time by checking how much an angle of pupils (a human head) and an angle of the screen are bent, considering the screen horizontal.
