PURPOSE: A foresting method is provided to minimize the moisture evaporation from afforested land soil for the natural afforestation of an afforestation area, and for improving the survival rate of planted trees. CONSTITUTION: An afforestation area (10) with a square shape is formed on a wild land in which the desertification is proceeded. A main tree belt (20) and a sub-tree belt (30) are formed on the four edges of the afforestation area. A secondary main tree belt (40) and a secondary sub-tree belt (50) are formed on an inner space which is formed by the main tree belt and the sub-tree belt. Trees are planted in the main tree belt, sub-tree belt, secondary main tree belt, and secondary sub-tree belt, and empty space (60) is formed among the four belts. A pair of main tree belts has a width of 50-80 m, and the interval is 150-600 m. A pair of sub-tree belts is located to the right angle direction of the main tree belt, and the interval is 20-40 m.본 발명은 사막화가 진행되는 황무지를 녹화하기 위한 조림방법에 관한 것으로서, 조림지 내에 수목을 수종에 따라 효율적으로 공간 배치하여, 식재된 수목의 생존율을 높이고 자연녹화가 이루어지도록 하는 방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 조림방법은 사막화지역 및 건조지역에 저비용으로 대규모의 조림지를 조성할 수 있으며, 식재된 수목의 생존율이 높을 뿐만 아니라 생육된 수목으로 인하여 초지가 자연회복되고 수목의 종자에 의해 숲이 자연적으로 조성되는 효과가 있으므로 사막화가 진행되는 황무지를 녹화하는데 실질적인 효과를 얻을 수 있으며, 또한 바람에 의한 수분증발을 최소화하여 토양의 수분을 적정하게 유지하기 위한 관수시설의 설치비와 운전비가 절약되며, 조림지 내 유실수의 재배가 가능하여 농가의 소득이 향상되는 부가적인 효과가 있다.
