A method for enriching the environment in a non-straw bedding (slatted floor) pig housing system, characterized by using a toy (1-3) in the form of a hollow, geometric shape filled with a semi-fluid, loose or granulated edible substance, with a consistency allowing for gradual escape (flowing or pouring out) from the center through openings (4) in the lower part of the toy. In the upper part inside the toy a container (7) with apertures extending outside the toy is placed.The toy in the lower part is provided with additional elements (5, 9) in the form of bundles of fibers, natural-fiber twines, plastic-coated chains, or longitudinal elements made of hard but plastic material.
