PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that has an adjustment effect on biological rhythm and is taken as a food and beverage or a medicine, concretely, a composition that promotes rhythm formation which is originally given in the body, has reducing effect on sleepiness, melancholy feeling and weariness and is taken as a food and beverage or a medicine.
SOLUTION: The composition containing ginger or its extract and L-carnitine has a significantly high adjustment effect on biological rhythm in comparison with a composition individually containing ginger or its extract or individually containing L-carnitine. Concretely, a synergistic effect on promotion of rhythm formation originally provided in the body and reduction of sleepiness, melancholic feeling and weariness is obtained by taking the composition containing ginger or its extract and L-carnitine.
