PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant composition capable of reducing a composite odor derived from sweat smell and aldehydes, and readily producing a water-based deodorant, and is safe upon contacting with a human body, and a deodorizing method.
SOLUTION: The deodorant composition includes a polyhydroxyamine compound having a specific structure and/or a salt (a) thereof and a penetrant (b), the penetrant (b) includes at least one substances selected from sufactants (b1), (b2)having a specific structure and a nonionic organic solvent (b3) having a log P value of 0-4. The deodorizing method uses the composition.
