PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation method by which Lippia canescens can efficiently be planted on a ground surface. SOLUTION: A vegetation mat 1 prepared by interlacing linen fibers in a felt-like state is laid on a ground surface A and then covered with soil. Thereby, the evaporation of water from the soil can be controlled. The covered soil enters the linen fibers of the vegetation mat 1 to facilitate the creeping stems of the Lippia canescens B planted in the ground surface A to lower the roots from the vegetation mat 1. Since the vegetation mat 1 controls the irradiation of light, the photosynthesis of the plants between the ground surface A and the vegetation mat 1 can be inhibited. The rooting of the Lippia canescens B planted in the planting holes 2 of the vegetation mat 1 on the ground surface A can be improved. The covering rate of the Lippia canescens B on the ground surface A can be enlarged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
