The machine tool (100) has a work blade (140) that is configured for performing a reciprocating motion. A sensor arrangement (180) is configured to detect the displacement of the work blade of the detected operating position to an associated stop position during switching off of the work blade. The sensor arrangement is provided with magnetic, inductive, capacitive, optical and or mechanical sensor. The sensor is associated to a signal transmitter. An eccentric drive is provided for driving the working blade.
