FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to orthopaedics, and can be used for surgical correction of flexion contractures of the knee joint accompanied with shorter flexion of the shin flexors. Performing two linear access along neutral lateral lines in the knee joint area. Neurolysis and mobilization of the common fibular nerve and its branches are performed. That is followed by sequential fractional extension of biceps femoris, tailor's muscle and semimembranosus muscle. Then the tendon of the semitendinous muscle is transited in the distal direction, and the tendon of the gracilis muscle - at the place of transition of the muscular part into the tendon muscle with subsequent transposition of the semitendinous muscle to the distal end of the transected muscle of the gracilis musclein the position of maximum achieved shin extension, after which a thigh-like abdomen of a side-to-side muscle is anchored to a semitendinous muscle. Method provides higher effectiveness of surgical treatment due to significant lengthening tendons of flexed shin, maximum one-stage correction, preservation of function of all flexor muscles and prevention of damage of neurovascular bundles. Technical result of this invention is higher efficiency of surgical treatment of flexion contracture due to significant elongation of flexor tendons with preservation of function of all muscles of shin flexors. Result is achieved by fractional elongation of the semitendinous, biceps femoris and sartorius muscles, crossing the tendons of the gracilis and semitendinous muscles at different levels with subsequent transposition of the proximal portion of the tendon of the semitendinous muscle on the distal end of the tendon of the gracilis muscle, fixing the proximal portion of the gracilis muscle as "side-to-side" to the semitendinous muscle.EFFECT: advantage of this method consists in the fact that this version of the tendons elongation allows to achieve the full shin extension
