PURPOSE: A lighting apparatus for intelligent plant cultivation and a method thereof are provided to be suitable for an artificial light source, which encourage plant growth with high photosynthesis efficiency, can improve functional components of plant, have an insect avoidance function and can encourage garden plant growth. CONSTITUTION: An LED light combination package(200) is lightened by combining with at least one invisible light emitting element having a wavelength band of infrared ray and ultraviolet and at least one light emitting display among a visible light wavelength band of red, blue, green, yellow. A detection part(270) senses a neighboring quantity of light, temperature, humidity and time. A storage part(220) stores growth condition information including outgrowth time, quantity of light, wavelength band, temperature and humidity of each plant at each step. A control part (210) compares plant growth condition data including outgrowth time information of plant at cultivation periods and quantity of light, and selectively controls on/off of the LED light combination package and the quantity of light. An LED driving part(230) applies a driving power source to each light emitting display by a control of the control part and lighten them. The control part establishes rates of quantity of light rate of each light emitting display in the cultivation conditions of plant, the growing period and the LED combination package. A communication part(280) is connected to internet or a wire and wireless communications network. The communication part displays plant growth data stored in the storage part and input data by an input unit.
