The method includes using an angiography recording system to record a series of projection images of the organ or hollow organ of an examination object during a contrast-agent wash-in or wash-out process using a CT recording system to record and reconstruct a 3D volume image of the organ or hollow organ of the examination object at least partly superposing the series of projection images or image sections from the series of projection images on the 3D volume image and displaying the 3D volume image on which the projection images are superposed.
