Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system and method for reducing power consumption of a medical device based on one or more physiological parameters. For example, the medical device may be operated in a low power mode if a physiological parameter trend is above a certain threshold. In the low power mode, the processing power may be reduced relative to a high power mode.
