The present invention relates to a biomedical titanium comprising pure titanium and having good strength and excellent biocompatibility and a method for producing the same.The biomedical titanium according to the present invention is characterized in that it has an aggregate structure composed of pure titanium and has a grain size of 500 nm or less and is oriented in a predetermined crystal direction and has a center line average roughness Ra of 0.2 m or more do.본 발명은 순 타이타늄으로 이루어지며 양호한 강도와 우수한 생체 적합성을 갖는 생체 의료용 타이타늄과 이의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 생체 의료용 타이타늄은, 순 타이타늄으로 이루어지고, 결정립 크기가 500 nm 이하이고, 소정 결정방향으로 배향이 이루어진 집합조직을 가지며, 표면의 중심선 평균조도(Ra)가 0.2 ㎛ 이상인 것을 특징으로 한다.
