Apparatus (1) for subcortical injection of a substance into a plant, comprising a body (2), a substantially rectilinear needle (3) pierced with a channel (4), a first actuator (6) adapted to mobilize the needle (3) along the axis (AA) of the needle and in a centrifugal direction (DF) so as to allow its introduction into the plant, an injector (7) able to inject the phytosanitary substance through the needle (3) via the channel (4), wherein the apparatus further comprises a protector (8) shaped to surround the needle (3), to prevent contact with the needle (3), and a slide means (9) capable of allowing a retraction movement in a centripetal direction (DP) of the protector (8) when a centripetal support is exerted on the protector (8), in order to reveal the needle (3) and to allow its introduction.
