To provide a catheter whose position is stable and hard to come off even when used in a biological lumen having less curved parts and meandering parts, and a manufacturing method for the same.SOLUTION: A catheter 10 includes: a shaft body 12 which has an inner layer 20 where a lumen 18 is formed inside, a linear reinforcing body 22 provided on an outer periphery of the inner layer 20, and an outer layer 24 covering the reinforcing body 22； and lubricant layers 30 composed of low friction materials covering the outer peripheral surface of the shaft body 12.
