The sunflower is threshed by application of multiple strikes with flexible elements-beats at the sunflower at the side of seeds and at its reverse side. Seeds separated from the sunflower are exposed to post-harvest cleaning. The device to harvest sunflower includes a blade drum, an auger, a conveyor and a crusher of stems. Downstream the blade drum along with motion of the harvesting unit there are two drums rotating opposite to each other installed one above the other, on the entire surface of which along the circumference perimetre there are flexible elements-beats hingedly fixed.
