PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a growth hormone expression inhibitor and the like which can reproduce pathological conditions caused by adult growth hormone secretion failure in various animals more conveniently.SOLUTION: The growth hormone expression inhibitor contains a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of (a) a polypeptide composed of an amino acid sequence represented by any of sequence ID numbers 1-8, (b) a polypeptide composed of an amino acid sequence in which one or some amino acids are deleted, substituted, or added in the amino acid sequence represented by any of sequence ID numbers 1-8, (c) a polypeptide composed of an amino acid sequence having 30% or more sequence identity to the amino acid sequence represented by any of sequence ID numbers 1-8; and at least either one of any of the (a)-(c) polypeptides, or an expression vector comprising a nucleic acid composed of a base sequence encoding a precursor protein of the polypeptide.【課題】成人成長ホルモン分泌不全に起因する病態を種々の動物でより簡便に再現できる成長ホルモン発現抑制剤等を提供する。【解決手段】成長ホルモン発現抑制剤は、(a)配列番号1乃至8のいずれかに示されるアミノ酸配列からなるポリペプチドと、(b)配列番号1乃至8のいずれかに示されるアミノ酸配列において1若しくは数個のアミノ酸が欠失、置換若しくは付加されたアミノ酸配列からなるポリペプチドと、(c)配列番号1乃至8のいずれかに示されるアミノ酸配列に対して30%以上の配列同一性を有するアミノ酸配列からなるポリペプチドと、からなる群から選択されたポリペプチド、及び前記(a)~(c)のいずれかのポリペプチド又は該ポリペプチドの前駆体タンパク質をコードする塩基配列からなる核酸を含む発現ベクターの少なくとも一方を含む。【選択図】図28
