PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for removing algae having stuck to shells, when the shells are recycled, thereby to attain better calcium carbonate materials.SOLUTION: An algae removal device removes algae ALG from a sintered shell 14 obtained by sintering the shell having the shellfish meat removed.
