PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freshness holding container containing natural radioactive materials, for example useful for holding freshness of fresh foods stored in a household refrigerator and having reduced use amount of minerals, and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a freshness holding container 1cd having a burning base materials molded with a container shape 3c and 3d, and coated films 5c, 5d, 6c and 6d covering at least a part of an inside surface of the base material with the container shape 3d and consisting of 1 or more layer of burned glaze, and at least one layer of coated film 5c and 5d contains monazite of 10 to 30 mass%.EFFECT: Fresh foods mounted on or neighboring the coated films 5c and 5d is kept to be exposed to a radiation which is not so attenuated after release from the monazite, for example about 0.2 to 1.0 (μSv/h). Therefor fresh foods can be continuously sterilized even with reducing use amount of the monazite by containing powdery monazite in at least one layer of the coated film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4COPYRIGHT: (C)2018,JPO&INPIT【課題】天然の放射性鉱物を含有している容器であって、例えば家庭用の冷蔵庫内で冷蔵されている生鮮食品の鮮度を保持することに役立ち、この鉱物の使用量が削減された鮮度保持容器、及びその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】容器状に成形された焼成素地3c,3dと、容器状の素地3dの内側の表面の少なくとも一部を覆い、焼成された釉薬の1層又は2層以上から成る被膜5c,5d、6c、6dとを備え、少なくとも1層の被膜5c,5dが粉末状のモナズ石を10~30質量%含有する生鮮食品の鮮度保持容器1cd。【効果】被膜5c,5d上又はその近傍に載置された生鮮食品は、モナズ石から放出後にあまり減衰していない、例えば0.2~1.0(μSv/h)程度の放射線にさらされ続ける。このため、少なくとも1層の前記被膜に粉末状のモナズ石を含有させることにより、モナズ石の使用量を削減しつつも、生鮮食品を効率よく殺菌し続けることができる。【選択図】図4
