The bracket (1) has a base (6) whose labial surface (10) is formed with a groove (34) to receive an orthodontic arc. A fin (12) includes cylindrical sections (12a, 12b) respectively extending from the labial surface. A ligature element (4) is engaged on the fin and mounted to slide between open and closed positions. The element encloses one of the sections in the open position to release an access to the groove for inducing an arc inside the groove in the open position.
