The present invention relates to a method for screening a drug, capable of deriving exercise-mimetic effects using an α1-adrenergic receptor agonist, and a pharmaceutical composition for deriving exercise-mimetic effects containing the drug screened by the method as an active ingredient. According to the method of the present invention, it is possible to screen drugs creating exercise-mimetic effects easily in vitro with high precision. Thus, the drug screened by the method can be useful for preventing and treating diseases requiring activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) such as metabolic diseases, heart failure, and inflammation.본 발명은, α1-아드레날린 수용체 효능제(agonist)를 이용한 운동유사효과 유도용 약물의 스크리닝 방법, 및 상기 방법에 의해 스크리닝된 약물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 운동유사효과 유도용 약학 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 방법에 의하면, in vitro에서 운동유사 효과를 일으키는 약물을 간편하고도 정밀도 높게 스크리닝할 수 있으며, 따라서 본 방법에 의해 스크리닝된 약물은 AMPK 활성화가 필요한 질환(대사질환, 심부전 및 염증)의 예방/치료에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
