Multifunctional poly(lactide-co-glycolide) nanoparticles for luminescence/magnetic resonance imaging and Photodynamic Therapy, and Method for Preparing the Same
The present invention relates to multifunctional PLGA nanoparticles for fluorescence/MR imaging and photodynamic therapy, and a method for preparing the same, wherein the multifunctional PLGA nanoparticles are prepared by combining a hydrophilic biocompatible polymer and a photo-sensitizer with a PLGA polymer having excellent biocompatibility. In addition, the present invention relates to a photo-dynamic therapy method using the PLGA nanoparticles. The multifunctional PLGA nanoparticles according to the present invention can have excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability, increase particle stability in the blood to improve drug efficiency, and maximize the therapy effect. Further, the multifunctional PLGA nanoparticles according to the present invention can provide high-resolution MR images of cancer cells and perform selective photo-dynamic treatment on only cancer cells through local irradiation of light, thereby maximizing cancer therapy effects.본 발명은 생체적합성이 뛰어난 PLGA 고분자에 친수성 생체적합성 고분자와 광감작제를 결합시켜 형광/MR 이미징과 광역학치료가 가능한 다기능성 PLGA 나노입자, 이의 제조방법, 및 이를 이용한 광역학 치료방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 다기능성 PLGA 나노입자는 생체적합성과 생분해성이 우수하고, 혈액 내 입자안정성을 높여 약물 효율성을 증가시키고 치료효과를 극대화할 수 있다. 또한, 암세포에 대한 높은 해상도의 MR 이미지를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 국소적인 광 조사에 의해 암세포 부위에서만 선택적으로 광역학치료를 가능하게 하여 암 치료 효과를 극대화할 수 있다.
