PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type absorptive article easy to put on, which, when wearing the pants, a wearer can easily move his/her legs, while the pants fully cover the wearers buttocks so as to securely catch his/her loose stool, etc. at the back of the wearer when wearing.
SOLUTION: The diaper 1A includes a belly-side sheet 2A, a back-side sheet 2B, and an absorptive body 3 fixed over these sheets 2A and 2B. Both side edges 2a of the belly-side sheet 2A are connected to both side edges 2b of the back-side sheet 2B respectively, so as to form a waist opening WO and a pair of leg openings LO. The absorptive body 3 is made of a rectangular absorptive material 31 and an external absorptive material layer 32 arranged on the non-skin-contacting surface thereof. The external absorptive material layer 32 is formed so that its width is the same from the belly-side sheet 2A toward the back-side sheet 2B for a prescribed length, and then gradually widens from an end edge 32a of the same width toward the back-side sheet 2B.
