PURPOSE: An environment-friendly ginseng washing apparatus is provided to prevent the damage on the rootlets of ginseng during a washing process, and to cleanly wash the ginseng. CONSTITUTION: An environment-friendly ginseng washing apparatus comprises the following: a supply conveyor(10) transferring inserted ginseng to be washed； an air washing unit(20) spraying air to the ginseng for removing soil and foreign materials； a mesh screen device(30) brushing the soil and the foreign materials from the ginseng transferred from the air washing unit； a mesh screen(31) formed with a polyurethanes material； a drum(40) including a spiral vein(42) along to the inner circumference for washing the ginseng transferred from the mesh screen device； a vortex injection nozzle(61) installed in the drum for spraying water to the ginseng； a water supply pipe(66) for installing the vortex injection nozzle； a water supplying tank(67) connected to the water supply pipe； a high pressure pump(68) for pumping water inside the water supplying tank into the water supply pipe； a nozzle transfer unit connected to the water supply pipe on a water washing unit； a purification unit(80) for purifying the water washed the ginseng； and a rinsing unit(90) and a drying unit(100).본 발명은 친환경 인삼 세척장치에 관한 것으로, 인삼에 에어를 분사하여서 인삼으로부터 흙 등의 이물질을 떼어내도록 에어분사노즐이 설치되는 에어세척부； 에어세척부의 일측에 설치되어서 인삼에서 흙 등의 이물질을 떨어내어 아래로 낙하시키는 메시스크린장치(30)； 메시스크린장치(30)로부터 공급되는 인삼이 투입되며 투입된 인삼을 일측에서 타측으로 이동시면서 세척하는 드럼； 드럼의 내부에 설치되어서 드럼으로 투입된 인삼에 물을 분사하는 물세척부； 드럼 및 물세척부에 연결되어서 인삼 세척시 발생되는 각종 이물질을 흡입하여 침전시키는 동시에 분사된 물을 흡입 정화시켜 물세척부로 재순환시키는 정화부； 드럼의 출구 측에 설치되어서 드럼으로부터 배출되는 인삼에 물을 분사하여서 1차 세척된 인삼을 헹구는 헹굼부； 헹굼부의 일측에 설치되는 건조부； 건조부를 통과한 인삼 중에서 금속성분을 선별하여 제거하는 금속선별기를 포함하여 이루어진다.따라서, 인삼이 원형 그대로 보존된 상태에서 세척되므로 인삼의 상품성이 저하되지 않고, 인삼의 둘레 및 인삼 다리 사이, 실뿌리 사이를 구석구석 세척할 수 있으며, 세척수가 정화된 후 재활용되므로 물의 소비를 대폭 감소시킬 수 있다.
