Liquid aqueous pharmaceutical solutions, containing a mast cell stabilizing active agent for application to the upper and lower respiratory tract or in the eye are provided. The solutions comprise both a non-ionic and an ionic tonicity-adjusting excipient. They are particularly useful for the aerosol treatment of respiratory diseases such as asthma.
