PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and efficiently provide and manufacture a layering double hydroxide oriented dense sheet having not only a high level density but also a high level orientation property in a sheet thickness direction.SOLUTION: There is provided a layering double hydroxide oriented dense sheet which is a sheet consisting of layering double hydroxide having 90% or more of relative density and represented by the general formula: MM(OH)AmHO, where Mis a bivalent cation, Mis a trivalent cation, Ais n valent anion, n is an integer of 1 or more, x is 0.1 to 0.4, and having a ratio of integrated intensity of a peak of a (110) face to integrated intensity of a peak of a (003) face, (110)/(003), when X ray diffraction is conducted on a sheet face of the oriented dense sheet of 0.7 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
