Provided herein are synergistic herbicidal compositions containing (a) a compound of formula (I): 4-amino-3-chloro-5-fluoro-6-(4-chloro-2-fluoro-3-methoxyphenyl)pyridine-2-carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof, or an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof and (b) a sulfonylurea e.g., amidosulfuron, azimsulfuron, bensulfuron-methyl, chlorsulfuron, cyclosulfamuron, ethametsulfuron-methyl, ethoxysulfuron, flazasulfuron, flucetosulfuron, flupyrsulfuron-methyl sodium, foramsulfuron, imazosulfuron, iofensulfuron, iodosulfuron-methyl sodium, mesosulfuron-methyl, metsulfuron-methyl, nicosulfuron, orthosulfamuron, primisulfuron-methyl, propyrisulfuron, prosulfuron, pyrimisulfan, pyroxasulfone, rimsulfuron, sulfometuron-methyl, sulfosulfuron, thifensulfuron-methyl, triafamone, triasulfuron, tribenuron-methyl or trifloxysulfuronsodium, or an agriculturally acceptable salt or ester thereof.
