PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of evaluating a difference between two sounds without depending on the subjective view of a human.SOLUTION: A sound generation section 2 generates a reference sound of prescribed time length and an evaluation target sound of prescribed time length. A brain wave measurement section 3 measures a brain wave generated from a person who has heard the reference sound and the evaluation target sound. An index calculation section 4 calculates an index that expresses the size of difference between the brain wave to the reference sound and the brain wave to the evaluation target sound. Thus, the difference between the two sounds can be evaluated without depending on the subjective view of a human.
