A smoke inhalation device comprising: a housing； a cartridge configured to contain a substance； a release device associated with the cartridge； a light device； a power source coupled to the release device and the light device； and a controller operatively and communicatively coupled to the release device and the light device, the controller being configured to control the release device and to vary the intensity of light emitted by the light device based on an amount of airflow through the housing.
