Composition comprising the combination extract of Lycium chinensis Glycyrrhiza urlaensis FISCH Foeniculum vulagare MILL Glycine max MERR and Pueraria thunbergiana BENTH for preventing and treating menopause-related disease and depression
The present invention relates to a composition for the prophylaxis and treatment of female menopausal diseases and depression comprising, as an active ingredient, a combination herbal extract of Gugija, licorice, fennel, soybean and grenache. In detail, the combination extract of Gujia, Licorice, Fennel, Soybean, and Pueraria of the present invention strongly suppresses depression as compared with a conventional antidepressant, based on results of antidepressant effects of female menopause in a forced swimming test and a tail suspension test of mice. Therefore, the composition can be used in pharmaceutical compositions and health functional foods useful for prevention and treatment of the female menopausal diseases including depression.본 발명은 구기자, 감초, 회향, 대두 및 갈근의 조합 생약 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 여성갱년기 질환 및 우울증의 예방 및 치료를 위한 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상세하게는 본 발명의 구기자, 감초, 회향, 대두 및 갈근의 조합 추출물은 생쥐의 강제수영법(Forced swimming test) 및 꼬리 현수 실험법(Tail suspension test)으로 여성갱년기의 항우울증 효과를 확인한 바, 기존의 우울증 치료제에 비하여 강력하게 우울증을 억제시킴을 확인하였으므로, 우울증을 포함한 여성갱년기 질환 의 예방 및 치료에 유용한 약학조성물 및 건강기능식품에 이용될 수 있다.
