The present invention relates to novel derivatives of hydrophilic bioactive peptides which have been modified by introducing a lipophilic substituent through esterification of the free carboxylic group(s) of the peptide with an aliphatic alcohol. The present invention also refers to a simple, fast and effective process for the preparation of amphiphilic derivatives of peptides. It also refers to pharmaceutical compositions for the controlled release and delivery of these pharmacologically active peptides.Cette invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés de peptides hydrophiles bioactifs qui ont été modifiés par introduction d'un substituant lipophile par estérification du ou des groupes carboxyliques libres du peptide avec un alcool aliphatique. Un procédé simple, rapide et efficace de préparation desdits dérivés amphiphiles de peptides est en outre décrit. Cette invention concerne également des compositions pharmaceutiques pour la libération contrôlée et l'administration de ces peptides pharmacologiquement actifs.
