At least one instrument sized and shaped for introduction into the vessel of the patient is in communication with the processing unit, wherein the processing unit is configured to: obtain proximal pressure measurements for at least one cardiac cycle of the patient from the at least one instrument at a position proximal of the stenosis of the vessel； obtain distal pressure measurements for the at least one cardiac cycle of the patient from the at least one instrument at a position distal of the stenosis of the vessel； calculate a pressure differential between the distal pressure measurements and the proximal pressure measurements； monitor the pressure differential calculation to detect anomalies associated to interruption in the cardiac cycle and/or irregularities in the pressure measurements； and automatically exclude the pressure differential for the cardiac cycle impacted by the anomalies.
