A preservation system to be used with a tissue cutting device is disclosed. In one arrangement, the preservation system is configured to deliver fluids to tissue samples in a tissue collector, as samples are being taken. A cooling system is also disclosed that may be used with the preservation system. The cooling system is configured to receive a tissue collector and maintain a desired temperature of the tissue collector and any samples disposed therein.
