PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a force for releasing a mechanical brake.SOLUTION: A grass mower comprises: a cutting blade 3C that is rotated to mow grass an electric motor M that gives motive power to a rotating shaft of the cutting blade 3C a battery 51 that supplies electric power to the electric motor M a control device 50 that controls the rotation of the electric motor M a mechanical brake 60 that brakes the rotating shaft of the cutting blade 3C by giving resistance to the rotating shaft and an electric command brake 55 that brakes the electric motor M by outputting a brake signal for stopping the rotation of the electric motor M from the control device 50.
