Disclosed and claimed herein are e,e,e malonic acid/acetic acid tri-adducts of buckminsteriullerene of the general formula C60R3, wherein each R is independently selected from the groups of formula -CR1R2 wherein each R1 and R2 is independently selected from the group consisting of -H and -COOH, provided, however, that at least one of the R1's and R2's is a hydrogen. Uses of the same for life-extension are also disclosed and claimed herein.
