PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer which has suppressed cost and is independent of its arrangement environment and which includes a near-point rod where scales and numerical values are displayed by units different in each region and allows the position of an optotype plate (an optotype presenting unit) to be easily confirmed.SOLUTION: The optometer includes: the optotype unit for presenting a near point optotype the near point rod to which the optotype unit is slidably attached and a holding part for holding the near point rod. The near point rod includes: a distance display part on which the scales of multiple kinds of units expressing distances are independently provided and a base part allowing the near point rod to be held by the holding part and including a positioning part to be held by the holding part so as to change the direction of the distance display part.
