PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus for providing superimposed MRI and plenoptic images.SOLUTION: An MRI apparatus includes: a magnetic pole 220 for creating a uniform magnetic field a set of RF coils for generating an RF excitation pulse in an imaging volume of the apparatus and capturing a magnetic resonance signal caused by an RF excitation pulse MR imaging means for transforming the magnetic resonance signal to a magnetic resonance image a camera which is a lightfield (plenoptic) camera 100 and configured to obtain a plenoptic image simultaneously with the magnetic resonance image and superimposing means for superimposing the magnetic resonance and plenoptic images.
