There is disclosed a skincare composition suitable for topical application tothe skin. The composition comprises a cosmetically acceptable skincarecomposition in the form of a hydroalcoholic gel dispersion, the compositioncomprising salicylic acid or a salt thereof and a gelling agent in the form ofa copolymer of acryloyl dimethyl tauric acid or a salt thereof. Thecompositions may be useful to cleanse the skin and the prophylactic orremedial treatment of acne.
