PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce patient load when producing cultured cartilages effective in therapies.SOLUTION: A cultured cartilage production method of the present invention is a production method of a cultured cartilage that is to be implanted into a cartilage deficient site, comprising (a) removing unnecessary tissue, such as bones and the like, from a loose body of the joint, (b) collecting chondrocytes from the loose body of the joint, and (c) producing a cultured cartilage by culturing the chondrocytes collected from the loose body of the joint. According to this production method, patient load is reduced compared with when collecting normal cells from a patient by incision or the like as a cell source aside from a loose body of the joint, because the loose body of the joint that is originally to have been removed is used as a cell source when producing the cultured cartilage effective in therapies.SELECTED DRAWING: NoneCOPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】治療に有効な培養軟骨を作製する際の患者負担を軽減する。【解決手段】本発明の培養軟骨の製法は、軟骨欠損部に移植される培養軟骨の製法であって、(a)関節遊離体から骨等の不要組織を除去する工程と、(b)前記関節遊離体から軟骨細胞を採取する工程と、(c)前記関節遊離体から採取した軟骨細胞を培養することにより培養軟骨を作製する工程と、を含むものである。この製法によれば、治療に有効な培養軟骨を作製するにあたり、本来除去される関節遊離体を培養軟骨の細胞源として利用するため、関節遊離体とは別に細胞源として正常細胞を患者から切開等により採取する場合に比べて、患者の負担が軽減される。【選択図】なし
