The present invention discloses a self-operated lower limb abduction device for passive mobilization of lower limbs of paraplegics patients. The device comprises of a right handed hand piece with handle(1), a left handed hand piece with handle(2), a right leg foot piece with fastening means(3), a left leg foot piece with fastening means(14), a first and a second pulley set, both comprising of plurality of pulleys(5) disposed vertically on a metal frame(6) with fixing means(7), a first metal spring(8), a second metal spring(9), and a first (10) and second(11) ropes. With this device, the lower limbs are passively mobilized and the upper limbs muscles are strengthened by active strengthening especially the Biceps of arm, flexors of forearm and intrinsic muscles of the hand.
