A disclosed medical image processing device includes a motion amount calculation unit which compares a first image captured of a subject with a second image captured of the subject, the second image having been captured temporally in advance with respect to the first image, and calculates a motion amount from the second image for each area in the first image； an area partitioning unit which partitions the entire area of the first image into a first area in which the motion amount is within a predetermined range and a second area in which the motion amount is out of the predetermined range； and an identification image generation unit which generates an identification image in which the first area and the second area of the first image are identified.
