A sleeve (3) releaseably couples the canister (2) to the body (1). The button member (12) is slidably mounted on the body for reciprocal movement along a trigger axis Y— Y extending transversely of the longitudinal axis X-X of the device, and has a manually depressible surface portion (36) and a camming surface portion (38) that drives a slidable nozzle member (12) to press the discharge tube (11) inwardly of the canister to open its valve and release liquid into the nozzle member.
