PURPOSE: A self-microemulsifying drug delivery system composition containing olmesartan medoxomil is provided to enable smooth absorption of active ingredients into the body. CONSTITUTION: A self-emulsifying drug delivery system of olmesartanmedoxomil contains 0.1-10 weight% of olmesartanmedoxomil, 5-60 weight% of oil, 20-90 weight% of surfactant, and 10-50 weight% of co-surfactant. The oil is fatty acid ester of propylene glycol. The fatty acid ester of propylene glycol is capryol 90(polyethyleneglycol monocarpylate). The surfactant is non-ionic surfactant. The non-ionic surfactant is castor oil, tweens, spans, or labrasols. The co-surfactant is diethylene glycolmonoethylether(transcutol) or tetraglycol.본 발명은 고혈압 치료제인 올메사르탄메독소밀의 난용성을 개선하고 경구 생체이용률을 증가시키기 위한 올메사르탄메독소밀 함유 자가유화 약물전달시스템용 조성물 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 조성물은 활성성분으로서 올메사르탄메독소밀과, 가용화성분으로서 오일, 계면활성제 및 보조계면활성제를 포함하여 구성된다. 본 발명의 조성물은 물과 접촉하여 활성성분이 안정한 마이크로 에멀젼 상태로 형성되기 때문에 경구 투여에 의해 상기 활성성분을 생체내로 원활히 흡수시킬 수 있다. 본 발명의 조성물은 캡슐 제제에 포함될 수 있으며 수상에 대한 분산성이 우수하여 올메사르탄메독소밀의 주사제 개발을 위한 약학 조성물로 활용될 수 있다.
