An angiotensin receptor blocking drug can be used in cancer treatment for a patient with a tumour profile indicative of increased expression of components of activating protein-1 (AP- 1) complex. The patients profile may show increased expression of FOS or JUN. The drug may be irbesartan or another drug capable of reduce expression of components of the AP-1 complex. Further, IFN-gamma may be used as a biomarker to identify a candidate patient for the angiotensin receptor blocking drug, in a patient who exhibits reduced IFN-gamma following administration of the drug. A method for identifying other candidate drugs for personalized treatment of cancer is described.La présente invention concerne un médicament bloquant le récepteur de langiotensine qui peut être utilisé dans le traitement du cancer chez un patient présentant un profil tumoral indiquant lexpression accrue de composants du complexe de la protéine-1 activatrice (AP-1). Le profil du patient peut présenter une expression accrue de FOS ou JUN Le médicament peut être de lirbesartan ou un autre médicament capable de réduire lexpression de composants du complexe AP-1. En outre, lIFN-gamma peut être utilisé comme un biomarqueur pour identifier un patient candidat pour le médicament bloquant le récepteur de langiotensine, chez un patient qui présente une sécrétion réduite IFN-gamma après ladministration du médicament.
