An electrosurgical generator for generating radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic (EM) energy and microwave EM energy comprises: a microwave source for generating a microwave signal； a microwave channel for conveying the microwave signal from the microwave source to be output from the generator； an RF channel for conveying an RF signal to be output from the generator； and a microwave-to-RF converter connectable to receive the microwave signal, the microwave-to RF converter being arranged to: generate the RF signal from the microwave signal, and deliver the RF signal to the RF channel.La présente invention concerne un générateur électrochirurgical permettant de générer de l'énergie électromagnétique (EM) radiofréquence (RF) et de l'énergie EM micro-ondes comprenant : une source de micro-ondes pour générer un signal micro-ondes ； un canal de micro-ondes pour transporter le signal micro-ondes provenant de la source de micro-ondes devant être émis par le générateur ； un canal RF pour transporter un signal RF devant être émis par le générateur ； et un convertisseur de micro-ondes en RF pouvant être connecté pour recevoir le signal micro-ondes, le convertisseur de micro-ondes en RF étant agencé pour : générer le signal RF à partir du signal micro-ondes, et émettre le signal RF au canal RF.
