PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new use of a long-chain monoene fatty acid (LC-MUFA). It has been found that ingestion of LC-MUFA of the present invention improves the intestinal flora. In particular, by ingesting LC-MUFA having 20 carbon atoms, the good bacteria Akkermansia mucinifila can be remarkably increased, and the bad bacteria Firmicutes phylum bacteria can be decreased. As a result, it was shown that the LC-MUFA of the present invention can be used to provide a good pharmaceutical composition or food composition for metabolic syndrome and the like. [Selection diagram] None【課題】本発明の課題は、長鎖モノエン脂肪酸（ＬＣ－ＭＵＦＡ）の新たな用途を提供することである。【解決手段】本発明のＬＣ－ＭＵＦＡを摂取することにより、腸内細菌叢が改善されることを見出した。特に炭素数２０のＬＣ－ＭＵＦＡを摂取することにより、顕著に善玉菌のＡｋｋｅｒｍａｎｓｉａ ｍｕｃｉｎｉｐｈｉｌａを増加させ、悪玉菌のＦｉｒｍｉｃｕｔｅｓ門細菌を減少させることができている。この結果、本発明のＬＣ－ＭＵＦＡを用いて、メタボリックシンドロームなどに対する良好な医薬組成物又は食品組成物が提供できることが示された。【選択図】なし
