To provide a working machine which can prevent the contact of a machine frame with the ground ON backward movement and can simultaneously horizontally control the posture of the working machine.

SOLUTION: Provided is the combine harvester (working machine) including: crawler travel portions disposed ON both the right and left sides of the machine frame machine frame-lifting or lowering cylinders disposed ON both the right and left sides of the machine frame to lift or lower the support height of the machine frame with respect to the ground contact faces of the crawler travel portions an inclination angle sensor for detecting the lateral inclination angle of the machine frame a main gear shift lever capable of operating the forward or backward movement of the machine frame and a control portion capable of controlling the machine frame-lifting or lowering cylinders in response to the detection value of the inclination angle sensor to horizontally control the machine frame. The working machine is characterized in that the control portion extends the machine frame-lifting or lowering cylinder ON one side to maintain the machine frame at the highest end position and extends or contacts the machine frame-lifting or lowering cylinder ON the other side to horizontally control the machine frame (S106 to S109), when the backward operation of the operation portion is detected (S103) and further when the backward movement speed is a prescribed speed or more (S104).
