A vial for pomade or the like with adjustable volume comprises a firstperipheralwall having inner and outer surfaces and top and bottom longitudinal endswhich define respective top and bottom openings of the first peripheral wall；acap mounted to the first peripheral wall for closing the top opening； and abottom portion including i) a second peripheral wall mounted to firstperipheralwall and conforming to the first peripheral wall for snugly fitting thereinand ii) abottom wall secured to the second peripheral wall for closing the bottomopening. The second peripheral wall is mounted to the first peripheral wallforslidable movement therein for positioning the bottom wall at one of aplurality oflongitudinal positions relative to the top opening corresponding to one of aplurality of volumes of the vial. Means can further be provided to helppositioning the bottom wall relative to the top opening and therefore todefinepredetermined volume of the vial.
